As a volunteer in a local high school, I tutored Algebra and Geometry. Many of my students went from barely passing, to A and B students. I also have tutored private students, in algebra and physics. I substitute, in math and science in local Middle and High Schools.
I am a retired Engineer. I mentored young engineers, as an Engineering Manager in a large aerospace company. I taught Electrical Engineering for a year, at a highly ranked college in New Jersey.
I enjoy bringing a student's understanding to a level that will improve their grades, and afford them a level of success in the subject. I am patient. I will explain/demonstrate different methods and examples. The student will solve problems. I will assess the student's understanding of the methodology-or, if they are simply making errors. I will teach them how to check their results.
Students should bring with them, their texts, workbooks, and samples of homework/quizzes, that they need help in.
