Hello,
I have several years experience tutoring and teaching in Palm Beach County. I am Florida certified teacher with certification in the following areas: math, biology, reading, elementary education, ESOL and gifted.
I have a bachelor's degree in science and a master's degree in education. My master's degree focused on english language learners. I specialize in second language acquisition and building reading skills in beginning readers as well as all areas of math and science.
I have many references including families that I have worked with for 5 years. All of my students receive support in study skills, test taking strategies, and direct instruction.
I am also a certified yoga instructor. I currently run a yoga club at my school and have several years' experience in teaching yoga to children. I use some of the stretching and breathing techniques in my tutoring sessions as a means to lower stress and raise awareness.

I have been tutoring Algebra 1 for 6 years.

Biology

I have a bachelor's degree in biology. I majored in pre-med and graduated with a 3.9 gpa. I was researcher at FAU in microbiology and worked as their pre-med program coordinator. I have been tutoring science for 8 years.

Geometry

I have been teaching and tutoring geometry for 6 years.

I have taught many students in my classes how to use word to create essays, reports, etc. I have been using word for over 15 years.

I LOVE science! I have always loved it. I majored in it in college and chose this as my career path in education. I am a Florida certified teacher in Elementary Ed. I have a master's degree in education and have years of experience teaching grades k-5. I specialize in math and science.

Study Skills

I teach study skills to all my students in conjunction with whatever subject area we are working on. All students need help with organization and time management. It is a skill not always taught at school or home. Having a certified teacher come in and work one on one with your student in this area gives them skills that will benefit them all the way through college.

Yoga

I teach yoga to children and adults. Children love the breathing techniques and easy relaxation that I teach them. My students use it before a test to center themselves, calm anxiety, and feel more confident in themselves. In addition to the mental benefits, yoga offers a physical workout combining stretching and strength building. We can tailor the hour to fit the needs of the student, some need more relaxation and stress reduction while others need both physical activity and stress reduction.

If you do not use the entire package, we will simply deduct what you did spend on tutoring from your original purchase price and give you a refund. Discount packages start as low as $190.
