*Now accepting students to begin studying August 11th, 2014!
**In the two years since I began tutoring on WyzAnt, I have helped TWENTY students who previously had failed NCLEX at least once (and up to FOUR times!) to finally and at last pass and become the RNs and LPNs they were meant to be! So exciting.**
Review from my 20th student (7/2/14) to pass NCLEX:
"NCLEX Simplified is the best review in the county. Every nursing student should use NCLEX Simplified. I tried a couple different reviews and had two other private tutors
for NCLEX preparation. After being unsuccessful with the NCLEX in the past, Lisa Brass showed me how to pass the NCLEX. I met with Lisa several times, sometimes in person, sometimes by Skype. She was always available by email or text. After Lisa taught me the nine modules in NCLEX Simplified I took the NCLEX and passed! Success at the NCLEX, finally, I didn’t know if it would ever happen. Thanks, Lisa!!!"

Review from my 16th student to pass NCLEX:
"Lisa is an AMAZING TUTOR! I failed my boards 3 times before coming to Lisa. I had gotten 265 on each one of my tests and still had no luck. I had done everything I could and didn't know what else to do. I was down on myself and had absolutely no confidence. I did not think I was ever going to pass this test but then I found Lisa on Wyzant. She met with me before Christmas and blew me away with how calm and smart she was. She went over material and then did questions with me. Soon enough my scores on the qbank were higher then they were in nursing school. I was becoming more confident and actually started to trust my gut. I took my test four weeks later and passed at 80 questions. It took me only 50 minutes start to finish. I was in tears I was so happy. I knew I did it this time and I owe it all to Lisa. Without her I wouldn't be an RN! I recommend her to everyone and anyone. I wish I went to her sooner! She clicked with me and i'm sure she clicks with everyone else. She has a way with words that eases your mind and boosts your confidence. If you haven't passed your boards call Lisa or if you are nervous about taking your boards call Lisa."

Welcome, nursing students! It wasn't long ago that I was a nursing student myself who wanted to pass my boards on the first try (don't we all?). Thankfully, I did pass them the first time around with the minimum of 75 questions and in a little under an hour. How did I do it? With a unique syllabus, question strategy, and flashcard system that I will use with YOU in order to get your NCLEX skills up to a pass level! My system was used by the entire Jefferson class to get ready for the test.
Whether it's your first attempt, your second, or your third, you can trust me to help you to pass after working with me. In as little as six sessions of two hours each, you'll be ready to pass your NCLEX without anxiety. We'll be using my very own textbook- written by me! See my blog post for details.
Included in your tutoring with me:
-access to an online question bank that I created
-study tips to make the most of the material
-text me 24/7 with any NCLEX or Nursing related questions and receive instant answers/explanations!
Experience: I worked as a Nurse's Aide with 3+ years of experience at Abington Health Lansdale Hospital. I graduated from Thomas Jefferson University's Nursing program with a Bachelor's degree and a GPA of 3.8. I passed the NCLEX in one hour with 75 questions. I am working as a Registered Nurse and have worked in medical/surgical, psychiatrics, PACU, surgical, and pediatrics. I also have tutoring experience of 2 years in the subject of English, which is an important component of NCLEX.
As a nurse, I understand the genetics that cause a number of medical conditions from Huntington's to Parkinson's to Down's Syndrome. I attended Thomas Jefferson University and earned my Bachelor's of Science. Part of that degree includes the genetic components behind the nursing care.
I have worked as a nurse for four years. Not only did I take three Pharmacology courses in school, but I administer a wide variety of medications to patients every day and am very familiar with their uses, potency, and side effects. I tutor my NCLEX students with a full two hour pharmacology session and feel qualified to teach this as an individual subject.
I had a 3.8 GPA in nursing school due to my focused and intense studying skills. I feel qualified to teach this to others because, as a tutor, your teaching takes no effect unless the student applies it. It's incredibly important that they study well, and I want to teach them to master flashcards and studying toward a goal.
