Everything in life, just like in nature, has its good and bad things. Your life experiences mold and shape you into who and what you are going to be in life. I'm here to tell you that no matter how dark and gloomy it gets, no matter how bad you think you have it, the sun will always rise up and brighten things to a better day. Remember, even rainbows have dark colors in them, just like everything else--it's the ying and the yang.
There are no winners or losers in life because life doesn't view us like that, people do. We start building our inner strength by believing that we are all special and beautiful. Together we can learn more about the beauty of ourselves, our friends, and our families by simply starting our day with one positive thought; one smile. Music, dance, arts, sports and martial arts are all connected by the same principles, and those are what I want to share with you.
By learning how to play the guitar and drums, by painting a picture, reciting a poem, dancing to your favorite song, or even by playing sports, you will see that martial arts will be a lot easier to understand because martial arts is all of these things. Even though martial arts can lead to many things, its main purpose has always been that of beauty through self expression. If you strengthen your inner self, you will find that defending yourself will come automatically as breathing, talking, or walking.
I've spent the last ten years gaining real life experience from dangerous situations working security at bars, clubs, and concerts here in the Delaware Valley. During the same ten years I also studied tae-kwon-doe under a very skilled Korean Grand Master and received my black belt. I trained with other martial artists of different styles (win-chun, kung fu, hap-kido, judo) learning their ways of thinking, fighting, and dealing with fears. I have much to teach and still much to learn, so let's teach and learn from each other as we train our bodies and minds in a positive way that will benefit both you, me, and the rest of the world.
