Students struggle in so many areas of school as they transition from middle to high school and high school to college. Students with certain coping skills already in place have a much less difficult time adjusting. We need to teach our students to rely on their own skills and allow them to develop skills like: time management, organization, goal setting, note taking, studying/memorizing, mental math and speed-reading. With these skills students can be better prepared to face the challenges ahead of them in school as well as in life. The same skill set that makes a good student, a good teacher...
