Efficient, friendly tutor for all flavors of Math and Chemistry

My name is John, and I am a junior Chemical Engineering major at the University of Delaware. During my two and a half years there, I've maintained a 4.0 GPA and feel like I have certainly developed a solid understanding of the course material. A great deal of this success was made possible by the really firm basis set in my high school Algebra, Calculus, and Chemistry classes, and I would love to help lay the same sort of ground work for students who need it.

Though new to WyzAnt, this is far from my first tutoring experience. At college I work through my university, tutoring 100 and 200 level chemistry and mathematics courses. I dominantly tutor individual sessions, yet this last semester I was selected as the group tutor for a freshman General Chemistry course of nearly fifty students.

Algebra 1

Despite the "Chemical" in my Chemical Engineering major, my main love has always been mathematics. I am extremely proficient at both solving problems, as well as explaining to students the right path to take to solve any problem of a similar nature.

Algebra 2

Algebra can be a very challenging subject at first. However, given the right help Algebra becomes simply a game of solving little puzzles.

Calculus

What is the difference between solving Calculus problems and tying my shoes? Well, one I normally only do every once in a while, and the other one is Calculus. After several years of both learning and tutoring Calculus, I feel comfortable tackling nearly any problem as well as explaining the method to find a solution.

Chemistry

As a Chemical Engineering student, I pride myself on my knowledge of Chemistry in particular. However, it takes more than just knowing the material to be able to teach it well. On this end I've tutored several undergraduate Chemistry courses, through my University, during my time in college.
