I recently graduated from Monmouth University with a double major in Finance & Management. I have had experience tutoring students of all ages with a variety of subjects. I feel that I can find different ways to explain processes or methods to students to help them better understand the material. Not every student learns the same, and if your child is not able to comprehend the information the way the teacher is explaining it, we will try something different!

Algebra 1

I first learned Algebra 1 in middle school. Since then I have taken various advanced algebra courses both in high school and through-out college. Algebra 1 can be very confusing when it is not explained properly. It is not a hard subject matter, it just demands a good teacher. I use basic formulas and equations in algebra 1 on a daily basis, and believe this can help me to help you understand the subject matter using real world examples.

Reading

Reading Comprehension is one of the most important, yet challenging subject matters for young students. I believe that not enough time is spent on it in the classroom. I will work to expand your students skills in being able to not only understand what they read, but be able to explain, and elaborate on the topics.
