Hello to prospective students and their families. I have a great deal of experience in tutoring students in the primary grades in the beginning letter sounds and their many uses. I use different techniques to teach students based on how they learn, either visually, hands-on, or for more of an auditory learner. I bring all my own materials and work with the student for and intensive one hour session or more if the parent wishes it. At the end of the lesson leave the student with simple independent tasks to do by themselves to practice until I return. I have tutored children as young as kindergarten and as old as 5th grade. All students learn at different rates and in different ways. I use that to my advantage so I can make sure the student have the greatest amount of success. You will see improvement in the student's reading in a very short time.
