Every mind is special and unique. Each child learns in a different way. A good tutor will find the key to unlock the secret to learning. Learning can be fun and exciting for the student and the tutor. I try to make my sessions an adventure. Sometimes the first step is the hardest. It may require the building of confidence to tackle the subject in question. I believe in a positive, patient approach.
First, I like to speak with the parents and student to get a background on the student. This helps me to develop a plan to teach the student. I encourage frequent communication from the parents and student.
My plan will include a goal of where the student needs to be in this subject. I also include some basic organizational steps for the student to maintain throughout the course of his/her studies.
