I enjoy helping people of all ages to develop skills in science and math as well as in reading and writing. My training includes a B.A. in Biology and M.Ed. in Natural Science Education from University of Delaware, graduate courses in counseling and communications from Providence Seminary and Regent University, 24 years of classroom teaching in three schools, and extensive tutoring experience in southern Delaware. My students have come from a wide range of racial and cultural backgrounds, including Native American. This variety of exposure has equipped me to find the instructional methods that will work best for you. As the elderly fisherman says in The Old Man and The Sea, "There are many tricks." My hero is my high school geometry teacher who taught me to love math and who played a deceptively effective game of ping-pong. Get in touch--I can't wait to meet you.
