My love of teaching comes from a passion for learning and a curiosity for the world around me. I love engaging with others and inspiring people to reach for their potential. My experience as an elementary school teacher and my experience as a youth development volunteer in Peru has given me the pleasure of empowering learning and confidence in my students. I am trained to scaffold the material and teach the subject in ways that reach students with diverse learning styles. I have been been ranked as distinguished in the Maryland Framework For Teaching Evaluations in the areas of pacing and higher level questioning. Children feel very comfortable around me and inspired by my belief in them. I am very detailed oriented in my lesson planning and I strive to plan for every angle and possible point of confusion.

I specialize in literacy, ESL, and social studies. My concentration is elementary and middle school education. However, I am also qualified to tutor secondary level history and social studies. I provide homework after every lesson and will give periodic evaluations.

I take education very seriously and I believe in putting everything I can into what I do. Therefore, I never bill for a lesson if the parent or student is not satisfied.

I am available in the evenings from 6-11 PM and all day Saturday and Sunday. I have a one hour cancellation policy, but am willing to offer make up classes.

I am willing to travel to the student's home or any other location that is convenient.

I look forward to hearing from you and working with your child and helping them achieve success in your studies!
