I am currently pursuing a Masters degree in Physiology and Biophysics at Georgetown University. I was fortunate to have been accepted into this prestigious program. My passion for research and understanding physiology at a higher level fueled me to apply to this program.
During my undergraduate studies at the University of Michigan, I pursued degrees in Neuroscience and Mathematics. Additionally, I was the President of a club called Wolverine Tutors. It is a non-profit organization which helps elementary and high school students by tutoring them online free of charge. This was a very enlightening experience for me as I found out that there are so many children who are shy to seek academic help. By reaching out online and offering free service, we were able to help students who were very shy initially. By tutoring these students, I also gained a much better grasp in the field of Mathematics, Biology, and Chemistry and have been able to apply these in more complex situations in my own academics.
This masters program is academically intensive and I have the opportunity to work and tutor my peers to better understand the material. By working alongside these bright students, I not only gain a better understanding of the subject but also feel delighted that I am able inspire my peers' minds and make the learning a more enjoyable experience.
