I am a junior studying Finance and International Business at the George Washington University. Throughout my school years, I have always made it a point to not only learn but to teach others as well. I have repeatedly tutored friends and other students in classes, especially in Math, Business, and Italian. I currently hold a 3.97/4.0 GPA, indicating my intellect and knowledge of the subjects I aim to teach. I have been told by numerous people that I am a great teacher and I would love to help any student that needs my assistance. As far as the Italian side of things, I recently returned from a study abroad experience in Florence, Italy, where I really improved my Italian to a level of proficiency or even fluency. I can also teach about the culture and my real world experiences in Italy. I believe that when it comes to teaching, patience is the most important thing. I can give students a different way of looking at problems so that it makes sense to them. Please contact me if you would like a tutor in any of the selected topics. I would love to help.
I have been taking accounting since junior year of high school. I even participated in an "AP" Accounting class in senior year. While I am a Finance major, I have always had a love and true understanding of accounting. I have tutored several of my classmates in both Financial and Managerial Accounting. I also participated in Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) Accounting 1 and Accounting 2 competitions and placed 3rd in Connecticut in Accounting 1 and 2nd in Connecticut in Accounting 2. My experience teaching students about accounting principles is extensive and I have even worked at an accounting firm. I also was ranked in the top 10 students out of a 200 person accounting course.
I have always been great at math and great at teaching it. I absolutely adore children and would love to teach kids that math is not something to be feared but something great. I used to tutor my neighbors when I would babysit for them. I have a lot of patience, which I know to be an essential skill in teaching Elementary Math and I have ways to make math fun that I am eager to share.
I have studied Italian for several years now and have increased my knowledge from no knowledge of Italian to near fluency. I have just returned from a study abroad trip to Florence, Italy, where I not only utilized the Italian language and grammar that I knew, but adapted my knowledge to actual Italian conversations. I also know a lot about Italian culture due to this trip. During my time in Italy, I helped tutor several students in increasing their Italian proficiency and having the confidence to speak conversationally.
I have worked for a hedge fund during an internship and have utilized Excel to create mortgage waterfalls, create macros, create graphs, and more. I have Excel exercises and tools available to teach and I have helped several classmates learn the basics and tools of Excel. I have been working with Excel for a long time and feel I will be a great asset to people trying to understand Excel.
