Hello All. In August 2012 my teaching journey began. Teaching has been eye-opening and inspiring thus far. I've taught middle and high school English, grades 7, 8, 11, and 12. My teaching experiences lie in the standard, co-taught (inclusion) and honors classroom environments. In addition, I have some experience teaching in a level-five (highly intensive) setting with student who had severe disabilities like MR and Autism.
My graduate coursework was completed in May 2013. I received a Master's of Arts in Teaching (M.A.T.)Secondary English Education and a (M.A.T.) in Secondary Special Education. I am knowledgeable about IEP Goals as well as methods and strategies used in order to achieve success even with students who are struggling.
I currently have a Monday/Wednesday tutee (fourth grader) in Southeast Washington, D.C. from 6:30-7:30 p.m. and I enjoy tutoring very much. I am looking forward to helping more students enhance their English Language Arts, reading, and writing knowledge and study skills.
I am available to tutor in home but prefer to tutor at a local library either nearer to your home or wherever is convenient.
Please do not hesitate to email me here on Wyzant- I will get back in contact with you promptly.
Thank you for for time and consideration.
Lindsay E., M.A.T.
