I currently work as a program aide at a school for children with autism. I work in a classroom of 3rd to 6th graders. I am happy to tutor in all academics subjects as well as life skills and social skills.

I am a graduate of the University of Maryland, where I earned a B.A. in Psychology. I have been working and volunteering with children with disabilities since I was in high school. While in college, I tutored an 8th grader with high functioning autism in reading and math and also taught him life skills.

In the fall, I am planning on pursuing a Masters degree in Hearing and Speech and am looking to pick up some extra money.

Special Needs:
Aspergers,
Autism

Approved subjects are in bold.

Approved subjects

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

Aspergers

I have worked as a program aide in a school for children with autism spectrum disorders since 2011. I have a bachelor's degree in psychology with a focus on abnormal development. I have a year of experience with tutoring children with autism.
