I live in DC since October 2012 but I was born and raised in France and I have lived for the last ten years in Barcelona (Spain). I am French but also consider myself "European" since I lived in 3 different European countries.
My major degree was in economics (marketing and finance) but I also have a bachelors degree in geography and I am studying now to complete another bachelor degree in history.
I love teaching and sharing my passion for languages and for the European history and culture. Working as a tour guide and a teacher for seven years, I have learnt how to adapt my teaching methods to different cultures and ages and how to turn knowledge into something attractive and beautiful.
I am a PRAGMATIC, I believe in languages as a tool of communication, so helping you to speak (properly) and helping you to understand will be my priorities as a French or Spanish teacher. Language is part of the culture but culture is also part of the language so my teaching always include references to music, literature and social issues in general. This is not just about learning a language; this is also about learning a culture and the little enriching "details" that make countries different from each other.
I would love to teach you French, Spanish or even European history (ancient, middle age or modern).
