My name is Mary and I am a certified intermediate and secondary level teacher and tutor with 17+ years experience in all sciences AND math, robotics, English, writing, reading, social studies, philosophy, psychology, and ACT and SAT preparation. I can also help with special situations and special needs, as I worked for the New Zealand government as an assistant school psychologist/special education adviser. My teaching certification allows me to teach grade levels 6 - 12; however, while I was (most recently) employed at The Girls' School of Austin, I also taught K - 6 health, 4 - 8 sciences, K - 2 PE, and K - 3 Robotics. I was a "pinch-hitter" in all K - 6 subjects when necessary. I also taught K - 2 summer school in Florida. I feel very confident with my experience and ability to successfully tutor these (K - 6) age groups.

Public Speaking

As part of teaching certification I was required to take Public Speaking at the University of Texas at El Paso (undergraduate). I passed with an "A" and I am a skilled public speaker, having 17 + years' experience as a public and private school teacher.
