I am a 2010 Harvard College graduate who received an honors Bachelor's degree in American History. I have been tutoring for three years, beginning as a teaching fellow at Harvard's Allston Education Portal helping students ages 5-10 improve their math, science, and writing skills. I expanded my teaching experience by taking a public speaking practicum at Harvard's Derek Bok Center for Teaching and Learning. In 2009, I was hired by Harvard to be a part time public speaking instructor. I now have three years of experience teaching public speaking, and I have worked with adults of all ages to prepare for interviews, presentations, debates, and speeches.
While my specialty is teaching all forms of communication, I am also well versed in the humanities and social sciences. I was selected as a history fellow at the Charles Warren Center for American History, where I studied American political history in the early twentieth century. In addition, I can help your student improve their reading and English scores on the ACT or SAT.
I look forward to working with you to tailor lessons that best fit your needs. I truly believe that every student deserves a personalized learning experience, and I am committed to finding a learning method that works best for you.
