I completed my undergraduate studies at American University in Washington, DC, where I majored in History and minored in Education Studies. During my time there I tutored undergraduate students in a US History course.

I completed my first year of graduate work at the University of South Carolina. There I worked as a teacher's assistant, and I tutored students in a US History course in addition to leading my 3 sections of 30 students each. I completed my master's degree in History from George Washington University in December 2012.

I work to make history fun, interesting, and relatable for all of my students. But most importantly I tailor my teaching to best suit an individual student's learning style and personality.

During college I majored in History with a particular emphasis on the US Civil War. While I am very knowledgeable about all periods in US History, my expertise is in the 19th century.

European History

During graduate school I primarily focused on European history, with a particular emphasis on British history during the 18th and 19th centuries. However I have a wide range of experience with all European history from the 17th through the 20th centuries.
