I've been good at math ever since I can remember. In school, I was not only the best math student but I was always the go-to kid for help. My math skills are sharp and I know a lot of the tricks to works problems faster and cleaner. This experience is very useful in preparing for the type of Math problems found in the ACT exam.

A few years ago, I tutored my roommate and she believed that I explained things better to her than any of her teachers. I've also had the opportunity to tutor a high school student virtually, using Skype and a whiteboard app for the iPad.

I've been a power user of computers for over 15 years. Initially a Windows user, I switched to Mac 7+ years ago. I can do a lot of hardware and software troubleshooting. Academically and professionally, I've had a certain level of exposure to programming, database management, and networking. Among my colleagues and friends, I tend to be the go-to guy for support.

Macintosh

My academic background and professional career have required a high usage of computers systems and applications. Previously a Windows power user, I migrated over to Mac over 7 years ago. I am a power user of the Mac and an constantly the go-to person for Mac-related questions and support within my company and circle of friends.

Microsoft Excel

I've been a Microsoft Excel power user for many years. I'm proficient at building spread sheets for multiple purposes which include but isn't limited to budgets, cost/expense tracking, and data analysis. I tend to build parameterized spreadsheets so they are easily reusable and updatable without having to redo the entire spreadsheet. At the present moment, I constantly work complex spreadsheets for project budget proposal, project cost control, and pretty much any random task I feel a spreadsheet is needed.

Microsoft Word

I've been a Microsoft word power user for years and for the last 7+ years, I've been using Word for Mac. Among my strengths in Word are formatting documents properly, making sure linked objects like foot notes, indexes, and table of contents appear properly, using sections, and using other features like mail merge.

Prealgebra

Probability

I'm an industrial and systems engineer with an MBA degree. I took several grueling statistics and probability courses in college and graduate school. This course work has given me a good solid knowledge base which over time has come in very useful, specially when I studied for the GMAT test for grad school. More recently, I helped a friend prep for GMAT math which contains some probability and statistics questions.

SAT Math

Even though I have not taken nor prepped for the SAT in a long time, I have the skills and knowledge to help you with SAT math. I've been good at math ever since I can remember. Approved Subjects

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet certified in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
