I am a native speaker of the Arabic language. I have been a professional Arabic language teacher for over three years now. I have taught Alif Baa, Al-kitab I, II, III and advanced Arabic courses here in the USA. I have worked on conversational Arabic and Egyptian Arabic from the "Dardahsa" book.

In my tutoring sessions, I tend to focus more on conversational Arabic than grammatical Arabic. I also try to let the students listen to videos of native speakers, and practice speaking about them during their tutoring sessions. Additionally, I have a camcorder that I ask students to use once in a while to record their emulation of any Arabic videos, and then we watch it together. Writing and reading skills are very important, so I sometimes pick up a certain trending article in a famous Arab magazine and let students practice reading out loud with me; I will be only correcting their pronunciation. I have worked with beginners, intermediate and highly advanced students, and they all loved my tutoring sessions.

Approved subjects

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
