My goal is to help improve your confidence in public speaking, reading and learning English. Once you have the confidence, you are mentally prepared to excel in any task that you want.
I have 8 years experience in public speaking. In that time, I have represented my university in numerous debates against institutions such as Yale University and Morehouse College. As an undergraduate, I participated in Mock Trial through the American Mock Trial Association. In 20011 I was ranked among the top 3 mock trial attorney's in the country and in 2012 I was ranked as the #1 mock trial attorney in the country.
I have been a reading tutor for over 10 years. I started a book club in middle school and during high school and college I worked at the Dance Place after-school program and summer Energizer program in Brookland, Washington D.C. I have extensive experience working with children from the ages of 7 and above. The most important that I discovered as a reading tutor was harvesting the confidence of the reader. Emotions such as embarrassment and humiliation must be removed, and when that happens confidence and reading ability will improve.
My experience with English stems from my work as a history major during undergraduate school. I am more than prepared to display the patience that is necessary when learning a new language.
I hope to work with you soon!
