I teach across disciplines because of the rich classical education I received from the Jesuits. Native of Boston who began studying Latin in 6th grade. BA from Boston College in English Literature and Speech Communications. Masters program at Fordham University in Philosophy; also studied Theology and Art History. Masters Program in Rome at Pontifica Universita' Gregoriana, studied Theology and Art History. Attended Art and Decorative Arts programs at Academies in Rome and Florence. Lived in Rome for 6 years; worked in Vatican as public relations official, working in Italian, English and Latin. Photographic artist; maintained darkroom in Vatican and had three one-man shows in Rome, Florence and New York.
Because of my classical education and interests, my great value-added is the ability to teach across the curriculum in many disciplines and languages. Intellectual curiosity makes me a very compelling and interesting tutor. I've been complimented for my teaching ability from students in Boston and Jamaica, West Indies. Professional supervisors compliment my teaching ability on a daily basis in professional work settings.
You will find that I am committed to teaching students to communicate verbally and in writing with precision, color and correctness. The digital age has created many valuable opportunities, but has dulled our ability to communicate in compelling, correct English.
Because I have traveled to 22 countries, I will tutor with a world view that is both interesting and valuable.
Parents will find me compliant with their needs and students will not only learn but enjoy their time studying with me.
