I love to teach! I went to New York University's Stern School of Business and have a Bachelor of Science in Information and Management Sciences; I graduated in 2000. I have a non-profit administration and project management background, and have been an avid volunteer, tutor and mentor for the past 5 years to both kids age 6-15 and adults who are learning English as a second language.
For the past four years, I have taught intermediate ESL classes in Chinatown to Chinese adults. My ESL classes have about 8 adult students in them.
I also work as volunteer mentor for an organization called Upwardly Global - a nonprofit that brings highly qualified immigrants (mostly refugees and asylees) and highly progressive employers together. Mentors help job seekers write résumés, learn about the recruitment process, sharpen interviewing skills, understand human resources laws and discriminatory practices, develop professional networks and give them the confidence they need to get a job in the American workplace.
