I have more than three years of experience tutoring adults, college students and high school-aged pupils in a range of topics including history, government, civics, American citizenship and ESOL. I am qualified and capable of helping you sharpen your writing skills and hone you comprehensive knowledge of historical and current events. I spent one full year as a history tutor and writing instructor at Georgetown University for students in the athletic department. As such I am used to working with close deadlines and often chaotic schedules and with the most challenging student and course requirements.
I am a very hands on tutor and I have no difficulty working directly with students to help them better understand complex problems and think of ways to solve them. I am available nearly 24/7 via email - sleeping is so 20th century - and will happily answer questions and address concerns whenever I can. My background in professional writing has made me particularly capable of helping students increase the pace of their writing output. Furthermore, my academic background has given me the tools to help students guarantee that their intellectual production is of the highest quality.
About Me
In addition to my experience as a teacher and tutor I also have a rigorous and comprehensive academic background. My undergraduate study began at The Ohio State University, where I completed Bachelors of Arts with Honors in History and Political Science. I also studied Spanish and Arabic at university. During my final year at Ohio State, and ever since graduation, I have worked as a researcher, policy analyst and staff writer for EconomyinCrisis, an organization dedicated to advocating economic progress and reform. I am a published author and experienced public speaker with intimate knowledge of American foreign and domestic economic policy.
I pursued my graduate career first at Georgetown University where I continued Arabic study and focused intently on American foreign policy and the modern Middle East. I finished my Masters of Arts in Global History at King's College London, graduating with research distinction on 18 May, 2012. Upon completion of my degree, I moved to Israel/Palestine where I worked as a news analyst and staff writer for the International Middle East Media Center in Bethlehem.
I have traveled all over Europe and the Middle East and have a particular affinity for France and Egypt, respectively.
