Hello! I'm a retired business professional and teacher, and would be pleased to work with your elementary or middle-school student. My specialties are Geography/Earth Science, U.S. and World History or Current Affairs, English Composition and Grammar and Spanish Language, as well as any Business course. I am confident that I can easily work also with any other elementary or middle-school subject that may be a problem for your student.

My qualifications, besides successful work with my own kids and grand-kids, are a B.S. in Business, an MBA and a Masters in Education, many years of professional business experience, as well as several years as a successful language and ESL teacher, both in the U.S. and abroad. I'm also a Mensa member, if that helps.

I love to explain, teach and bring understanding to all people, and especially kids. It's my best skill in life, and I would love to use it to be a help to your student and you.

Spanish

Latin America and the Spanish language have been strong interests of mine for several decades. Language, including reading, writing and speaking, is one of my very best skills. In addition to holding a Masters degree in Adult ESL, I have studied several languages myself, and can relate to the complexity of learning a language which is not your own. I will work hard to help you to use the English language well.

Elementary (K-6th)

As a university graduate (Boston College) and Mensa member with many years of life experience, I feel confident of my ability to impart in a clear and understandable way any primary school subject that your student requires.

Religion

I m currently a church member, and my education included some class in religious studies all the way from primary school through secondary school and university. I am familiar with the history and teachings of all the major world religions, and feel confident that I can teach about them in an impartial way.

Business

I have both Bachelors and Masters degrees in Business Administration, and held professional positions in both large, international corporations and small businesses for more than thirty years.

Marketing

Marketing was my major in college, and I spent more than thirty years employed primarily in positions related to Marketing, such as Market Research and Sales. Other positions I held were as a Procurement Officer and small business manager. I feel very confident I can open the world of business to your student.

How do I receive a discount?

Save between 5 and 15% on tutoring by purchasing credit with one of our prepaid discount packages. You can buy one of our standard 5, 10 or 15% packages or customize your own package based on how much tutoring you need. The credit you purchase can be used towards any tutor at any time and does not expire. If you do not use the entire package, we will simply deduct what you did spend on tutoring from your original purchase price and give you a refund. Discount packages start as low as $190.
