I am a senior college student at the University of Notre Dame with a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering. Throughout high school and college, I have done really well in school. The reason, I believe, is not that I am more intelligent than others. Instead, my study strategies are the reason that I do well. I am an extremely efficient student which allows me to excel in both academics and extra-curriculars. Next year I will be attending medical school and will continue to apply my study strategies.
I have extensive teaching history with the tutoring programs through my college. During my sessions, I like to first gauge the current level of my student and identify his/her strengths and weaknesses. Next, I address the fundamental concepts in my students' areas of weakness. Lastly, I find/design practice problems that help the student to better understand and use the concepts. I will also teach my student study tips that help them to gain the most understanding without wasting time.
Most of my students have improved at least a letter grade. I also can adapt to various learning styles and understand that a good teacher is someone who can explain difficult concepts in simple language that the student can relate to.
My areas of strength include:
Math (up to differential equations)
Physics (calculus or non-calculus based)
Chemistry (inorganic, organic, analytical, physical)
Chemical Engineering
MCAT
SAT
GRE
GMAT
all elementary, middle school, and high school level courses.
Feel free to contact me for more questions. I am new to this website so I am willing to give a discount for the first class so you can see my tutoring style.
