I was the Assistant Director of ESL at the Catholic Archdiocese of Washington's ESL Training School for 3 years as an employee and a number of years as a volunteer. I also volunteered for 5 years at Language ETC, another large ESL Program in Washington, D.C. I specialize in teaching professionals the English language as well as beginners and those with less education. My Hispanic students love me because I speak their language and am able to explain English on their own terms because I understand how Hispanics think. I also tutor beginner and intermediate Spanish for American students. I live 6 months of the year in Mexico and have a good basis for the language. I am patient and make learning fun for my students. I live part of the year in Mexico.
