I am a Highly Qualified Maryland teacher, certified to teach grades 1-8. I have co-taught grades 2, 3,4, and 5 as a special education teacher in the content areas of math, reading, science and social studies for the past 4 years. I've worked with students with students with speech / language disorders, autism spectrum disorders, dyslexia, specific learning disorders, behavioral needs, and ESOL needs. I'll work with your child to provide remedial or enrichment support!

I also have a Master's degree in English Language and Literature and work with older students or adult learners on writing or language skills.

In the mid 2000s, I played in the Cherry Blossom String Quartet to provide chamber music for various weddings and events around the Washington, DC region.

My Master's degree in Special Education and my five years of work with students in inclusive classrooms have provided experience teaching students with Aspergers the skills to be successful in various learning environments.

Autism

My Master's degree in Special Education, my work in home programs as a Behavior Therapist and Consultant using Applied Behavior Analysis and Verbal Behavior techniques, and my five years of work with students in inclusive classrooms have provided experience teaching students with Autism Spectrum Disorders the skills to be successful in various learning environments.
