To Whom it May Concern,
My name is Carlos and I hail from the great state of Texas. After a worthwhile three years as an undergraduate student at Georgetown University, I wish to aid those students in the Washington, DC metro area who are in search of tutoring ranging from basic elementary or secondary courses to test preparation on the SAT or AP exams. As I continue my studies at Georgetown for an expected graduation date in May 2013, I wish to share the numerous skills and resources I've acquired as a student to your child. My pathway to success will include a review of the course material and developing strategies to best address each section within the prescribed curriculum, as well as focusing on test materials and best modes of facing a subject examination head on. Success in academia should be treated as a journey, and because of that I promise that not only will I be along for the journey, but I will be there to answer any questions your child has along the way.
The value of an education is one that I appreciate on a daily basis. This past year, I worked tirelessly as a member of the College Academic Council to pass an Education minor at Georgetown University that would seek to benefit those students interested in pursuing teaching as a profession. Along the way, I remembered the great memories I made as a tutor for struggling debate students during my freshman year at Georgetown, and realized that with a little time, and a lot of attention, anything is possible. It would be a privilege to aid your child in the subject or examination that you feel must be addressed. As someone who benefited from the close bonds I shared with my previous instructors, I realize the importance of what mastery in a subject area can do for a child's development, and I look forward to the opportunity to serve in that capacity as a tutor to your child.
Sincerely,
Carlos D.
