Reading is like money…it makes your richer!
Of course reading alone can’t make you richer; you have to do something with it to get what you want (just like money…you have to use it to get what you want). However, my help as a tutor is not to make you rich, but to enrich, improve, and help your ability to read (and write) and the sky’s the limit where you take it from there.
I love reading! I love writing! I also love creative arts! Together reading, writing, and creative arts have enriched my world. I have traveled, lived in far away places, and met exciting and wonderful people. Reading, writing, and creative arts have filled my life with fun. It’s true what they say: “Reading is fundamental." However, I also know reading can be less than fun for many students (young and old) and that’s where I come in.
I am a professional Artist and published Writer with a degree in Communications who conducts individual and groups workshops. I believe I can help people improve their reading (and writing) skills because I take a creative and fun approach to tutoring. One of the most important aspects of tutoring is patience; another is the joy of helping someone succeed, and last but not least, one has to like the subject he or she tutors – and “I love reading, and writing, and art!”
