One of my favorite sayings is "we are where we came from." I am very fortunate to come from a very close knit Jewish family from Minnesota. Both my parents were college graduates, with my mother being an English Literature Professor, substitute high school teacher. My father went the business route and taught us all the extreme importance of education and strong Midwest personal and work values. There was no question if you were an honest, diligent, and trustworthy young man, many good things come your way. Hitting the books, part-time jobs, helping my siblings and volunteer work were lessons that have stayed with me.
Growing up in such a large, over achieving family we all became extremely competitive, and had to learn how to channel those energies to develop self esteem, perservere, and become task oriented.
Through school, and college I participated in many sports, was an assistant recreational director, and coached a number of both boys and girls sports. I even made time to have a tremendous experience by being an active member of a fraternity. Considering all of us paid for our college education it became a balancing act out of necessity. I also felt a strong need to work with the Fatherless Boys Association,be a camp counselor, and spent two years as a substitute teacher in thee St. Paul, Minnesota Catholic School Systems Watching my mother's amazing energy, patience, and positice attitute whle teaching was something I certainly wanted to emulated. Seeeing children motivated, excited, and having that zest for learning has become an endearing passon of mine.
My relaxation time is filled with the outdoors, vigurous exercise, reading, dining out, movies, and making the best of my life.
As I have become older I have become even more involved in volunteer activiies, peer counseling, mentoring, and have used my selling and motivation skills to teach and help develop others. With todays uncertain economic and political times , I hold dearly to my strong passsion for all that has to do with sports. After all it is ammazing entertainment and gives us much food for thought.
I thoroughly enjoy a helathy physical regiment and participating, watching, a variety of sportsd. Yraveling, spending time with friends and family, and work on eeping a positive and upbeat attitude. With a strong, attitude and demeanor it certaing lightens' lfes concerns.
