I will do all I can to help a student master the Spanish language. I like working one-on-one with students to ensure their academic success. I had to learn the English language, and I try to use the methods that worked to help me learn English, while making Spanish fun for kids. I have been a very successful tutor with my one-on-one students for 15 years.
I was a Spanish teacher for over two years at Casa del Pueblo. I was an English Tutor and ESL Instructor at Carlos Rosario International Charter School for five years. I am currently an English-Spanish Interpreter for International Language Services and McNeil Multilingual, Inc. as needed (PRN). I also worked or the DC Public Schools system for more than a decade. I am from Argentina, but I am a United States citizen. I have completed various related training and have received multiple awards from DC Public Schools.
I am confident that my years of experience in bilingual education as well as my enthusiasm for teaching would make me an excellent candidate for the position. I am available to work morning, day or evening hours.
