Joseph Kennedy Jr. has worked extensively in the arts for over thirty years as an arts practitioner instructing in such fields as musicianship, video artistry and multimedia production. His exceptional ability to interact and make a positive and lasting impact in schools and communities worldwide has been his trademark since his beginnings as a liaison for the arts and peace. Since obtaining his BA from Antioch College in Yellow Springs, OH, Kennedy founded the Universal Peace Journey in 2001, an educational program directed towards instituting peace into ones life through the exploration of sound, song, lyric and poetry. Additionally, hes produced Close to Nature, a three-part series that captures tranquil moments in nature accompanied by an original score. Currently, his series as adapted for cable television. The Close to Nature Video Show can be seen weekly on Arlington Independent Media and has aired over one-hundred episodes.
Working with such programs as the Kennedy Center, the Washington National Opera and the Choral Arts in Washington, D.C., he continues to leave his imprint in his neighborhood and internationally, traveling to over ten countries. With fervor for life as a father, videographer, musician, storyteller and raw foodism aficionado, Kennedy strives to share culture and technology with young and old alike, empowering them to explore their true creative natures.
