I began learning French in middle school and then I lived in France as a high school exchange student.
I studied French, Spanish and Linguistics at UNCG and the University of Granada in Spain.
I have a Master's in TESOL and I have taught in Rabat, Morocco, Washington, DC, and Indonesia.
I have a wide variety of tutoring experiences: I tutored English in France for a middle school student. I tutored French for the UNCG department of Romance Languages. I tutored ESL to a refugee for a year. I helped a college student with her TOELF exam in Spain. I was the personal English tutor to the Secretary General of the Ministry of Health for the Kingdom of Morocco. I helped a Korean graduate student with his English.
I do my best to facilitate student-centered, inductive and communicative teaching methods and I hope to foster a curiosity and awareness of linguistics in my students. Languages are a gateway to the world!
I have some experience in translation as well.
