I've taught English and history for the last eleven years, and I know how frustrating it can be for students to struggle with reading, writing, and school in general. I'm skilled at spotting the gaps in understanding that lead to uneven school work and targeting my instruction to help you strengthen your skills. Whether you need to understand a complex book, improve your writing, enhance your vocabulary or do better on standardized tests, I am confident that I can help you and even provide fun activities to ensure you enjoy our sessions.

My background includes an Ivy League Degree in English Literature, a Master's in English Education, directing school plays, and publishing a novel for young readers. I've worked with students at some of the best schools in DC and New York City, as well as students whose schools didn't prepare them well at all. With all these experiences under my belt, I'm optimistic that I can help you meet your educational needs.

I taught middle-school English and history, and if anybody needs help with organization, it's middle-schoolers! With the insight of a teacher, I can help students create systems to keep track of their assignments, reading materials, and completed work.
