Hello,

I am a high school social studies teacher. I currently teach World History and U.S. Government. I am a UConn grad with a Master's degree in Education (Social Studies) and an undergraduate degree in History with minors in English and International Studies.

I tutor middle school, high school, and college students in a variety of subjects, but primarily History/English/Humanities. I can also tutor SAT Verbal and Writing.

I try to make tutoring fun and I love having interesting discussions with students!

Rates are negotiable based on your needs, but generally I charge between $30-40/hr, depending on location and driving distance.

I took private voice lessons for four years, participated in several voice competitions, including NYSSMA (receiving high scores), and have sung in various choirs (most of them by audition only) since childhood (my first choir was the Bach Children's Choir in Rochester, NY).

Religion

I have taken an Anthropology course called World Religions, and I also took a British history course on the Protestant Reformation.

I have played violin for 15 years.

How do I receive a discount?

Save between 5 and 15% on tutoring by purchasing credit with one of our prepaid discount packages. You can buy one of our standard 5, 10 or 15% packages or customize your own package based on how much tutoring you need. The credit you purchase can be used towards any tutor at any time and does not expire. If you do not use the entire package, we will simply deduct what you did spend on tutoring from your original purchase price and give you a refund. Discount packages start as low as $190.
