I have a degree from Fairfield University in Physics and minors in Philosophy and Mathematics. I also have quite few courses of graduate Mathematics under my belt. I currently work as a substitute teacher and I worked at Nature's Classroom for over six years. I am currently in the process of getting a secondary Mathematics teacher certification. I have lived in Fairfield County for almost my whole life and have a great deal of experience working with young people.

Algebra 1

I can teach the basics of algebra and make a sturdy foundation for higher Mathematics. Algebra I is necessary and used constantly in all the higher levels of Mathematics. I use algebra I constantly myself for Physics and Calculus applications. This familiarity is something I am willing to share with a student. I will use many approaches to get the ideas across.

Algebra 2

Algebra II is a next step and takes the basic ideas in Algebra I and applies them with a more general scope and power. It is the next step in which more complex problems are tackled. A mastery of Algebra two is a necessary skill and building block for higher mathematics. It is a necessity for post-secondary education and most careers. My strong familiarity with the subject will help guide you through this essential subject.

American History

A knowledge of American History is essential for citizenship. Cicero once said "those who don't know history are forever like children who only know the present." History offers the perspective that the way things are now were very different in the past. Studying the details and character of the American past tells us "who we are", "where we came from" and possibly "where we are going".

Calculus

As part of my Major in Physics, I studied and made extensive use of the Calculus I learned as an undergrad. I also studied Analysis (Calculus at grad level) in Graduate School. I majored in Physics as an undergrad where I studied chemistry in addition. I have six years teaching experience and a strong Mathematics and Science background.

Geometry

Geometry is the oldest and one of the most important branches of Mathematics. It is used in applications as various as surveying, building computer chips, Nuclear Physics and Astronomy. I am very familiar with the ins and outs of Geometry and am confident that I can bring my experience to bear in teaching Geometry. My major as an undergrad was Physics. I worked children for over six years and I was required to engage them in the sciences and environmental education. Precalculus

Precalculus is an essential precursor to Calculus and beyond. I have a B.S. in Physics with minors in Mathematics and Philosophy. I have studied Mathematics at the Graduate level. I can get you up to speed in Precalculus because I have over six years' teaching experience and I am prepared to guide you through the twists and turns of the Mathematical terrain.

Fluency in reading is paramount in succeeding at all levels and all jobs. I have worked with children for over six years and have the patience and care to help your child succeed at this most necessary skill.

I took statistics as an undergrad and in grad school. I have my textbooks from those courses. I have experience teaching for six years.

Anatomy is a key subject for work in the medical profession. I come from a medical family. My Dad is a doctor and both My mother and sister are nurses. I majoreded in Physics and minored in Mathematics and Philosophy in addition I studied ecomonics as an undergrad. Economics has always been an interest of mine and I have read much literature on the topic. I have six years teaching experience. I live in Stratford, CT and I have transportation.
