I'm a student at the University of Connecticut, set to graduate in 2012. I am majoring in Statistics and have a rigorous background in algebra, calculus, and some computer programming. Although my coursework is almost entirely math-based, I'm probably most comfortable in the various English classes I have taken at UConn, as writing and grammar come naturally to me. This love of language inspired me to learn Spanish well enough to read and write, and I am interested in possibly learning Italian or French as well. I work well with children and am comfortable teaching most age groups.
I graduated from Fitch High School in Groton in 2008 as a member of the Honors Society and a varsity athlete in two sports. I captained the cross country and swimming teams and have a deep understanding of leadership and responsibility. I have taught swimming lessons for children and adults of all skill levels in both public and private settings since I was 14 years old. I love teaching and helping others, and am a patient and reliable worker. I also have experience using common PC software such as Microsoft Office.
