I have run a summer "camp" for youth teaching Flash, from the basic motion effects, to the more complicated action scripts. In addition, I worked with the students at school, helping them to create Flash movies for the school's website.
I have a Computer Education degree from Fairfield University and have actively taught computer programs since 1997. In addition, I have been editor for many publications - Connecticut's "Celebration in Excellence", National Pastoral Musicians convention booklet, Trumbull High School's Yearbook to name a few.
I was IT leader for the Trumbull Public Schools for 12 years. In that role I have both created graphics and logos in Illustrator as well as taught students how to use Illustrator.

I have used InDesign since it was PageMaker. I have used InDesign to create a variety of publications - yearbooks, conference books, church bulletins and other publications that were ultimately sent to a printer.

I have used and taught Photoshop for more than 20 years. As a graphics editor for the State's "Celebration of Excellence" booklet, I used photoshop to correct many of the photos posted in the book. As yearbook advisor, I taught students to use Photoshop to create effects and graphics for the award winning Trumbull HS Yearbook.
I have been active in Desktop Publishing producing documents for major organizations. For several years, I was the creator for the "Celebration of Excellence" book for the State Dept of Education in Connecticut (this program is no longer active). I created the convention booklet for NPM (Nation Pastoral Musicians) for the 2006 convention. I assisted the High school where I taught in producing their award winning yearbook. I have used PageMaker and now InDesign. I have taught both teachers and students not only how to use the program, but the accepted practices in desktop publishing.

Excel is a powerful spreadsheet that can simplify tasks involving math. From home budgets, time sheets to teacher grade books, formulas can be created and formatted to automate tasks.
In addition, Excel can be used as a simple database and create pivot tables and charts.

At home I have created both a wired and wireless network and have taught others how to set these up in their own homes.
Networking computers involves connecting hardware (computer, printer, scanner etc.) so that they can share resources. Home networking involves using a router - either wired or wireless - to connect these shared resources.
Routers, if wireless, should be set up with security encryption.
I have studied piano since I was 8 years old, performing on local television, church and being the pianist for various musicals.
