I just graduated with my Master's in Genetics of Human Disease from UCL in London, England. I love to travel and learn about the other cultures in the world we live in, hence doing my Master's abroad. I also recently graduated with my undergraduate from Roger Williams University in RI with a double degree in Biology and Psychology, with a minor in Chemistry. I have done lots of research in a laboratory and like helping students learn to love biology as much as I do. I have a few tricks up my sleeve for studying and for remembering those tricky names and pathways that biology loves to throw at you. I didn't start to like science until I was a freshman in High School, but even if it isn't your "thing", knowing even the basics will give you a better understanding and hopefully a greater appreciation for life itself.

Approved subjects

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

Genetics

I have a Masters in Genetics of Human Disease. I was also the TA for four semesters in college in general genetics.

Study Skills

Besides being a very organized individual, I have received my masters degree in Genetics of Human Disease. I also have worked in a scientific laboratory for the last 6 years and I have to be organized, clean, and very conscious of where things need to be. Precision and accuracy is important, but so is patience and focus. I have been tutoring for two years and have successfully tutored in various subjects. I have been successful in helping students learn study skills that will help them in their future testing.
