My bachelor's degree is from the Neag School of Education, University of Connecticut and I have done some post graduate work towards my Masters degree in education at the George Washington University.

My past experiences with children include: babysitter, nanny, counselor, tutor, and teacher.

Phonics

ESL/ESOL

I am a certified ESOL teacher. I taught in Kissimmee, FL for 4 years in a school whose English as a second language population was over 75%. I was required to attend 250 hours of ESOL training. My training included instruction catered to adults and children.

Working in a Spanish as a first language school prepared me to tutor ESOL students. I taught, met with parents, and had conferences for students and parents whose first and sometimes only language was Spanish.
