I enjoy making mathematical concepts accessible to the students. Some students grasp the concepts quickly, while others learn at the slower pace. I try my best to work at the student's pace, illustrating the material with lots of examples. I've been tutoring and teaching mathematics at college level for over 25 years. I also worked with students in grades 7-12. Tutoring and teaching has been a fun and creative experience. It's also been rewarding to see students do well in their math courses.
I've been working as a math tutor for over 20 years. I received my BA in psychology in 1985 from Southern Connecticut State University and I received by MS in mathematics in 1998 from Eastern Kentucky University. Since 2001 I've been working as an adjunct professor of mathematics at Southern Connecticut State University, teaching intermediate algebra, college algebra, pre-calculus, calculus, math for liberal arts, business calculus, and statistics.
