Hi! My name is Lynn and I am Connecticut Certified in both Business Education, grades 7-12 and Language Arts, grades 7-12. I am able to provide tutoring services in subjects such as computer keyboarding, MS Word, MS Excel, and Accounting. I have 10 years teaching experience in the CT public school system and five years adult ed teaching experience.

I am also working on a Masters in Remedial Reading and Remedial Language Arts. I am able to also provide tutoring services in subjects such as writing and reading comprehension.

I have four years individual income tax preparation with Liberty Tax. I will also tutor on preparing your own tax return using online tax software. That way you will be able to eventually file your own tax return and stop paying exorbitant tax prep fees!

I am available for tutoring in the greater Middletown/Cromwell area. I am available after 3 p.m. during the school year and anytime during school vacations (summer, winter, spring).

Microsoft Excel

I have over 20 years experience teaching Excel and using Excel in the business world. I can help in learning the basics of Excel, formatting, functions, formulas, charts, and linking files.

Business

I have two business degrees. My first degree is a B.S. in Business Administration and the second is B.S. in Accounting. I have been a WyzAnt tutor for approximately two years and specialize in accounting and computer applications. I am also a CT high school teacher certified in Business Education.

QuickBooks

I have three plus years' using QuickBooks accounting software in both the private industry and educational environment. Experience includes setting up chart of accounts, journalizing, posting, and preparation of reports.

Microsoft Access

I have over 5 years using Microsoft Access in private industry. I currently teach MS Access at the high school level and have taught Access at the adult level as well. Some of the database skills in which I am fluent include database design, using queries, and generating reports.

Tax Preparation

I have a B.S. in Accounting, and 4 years experience in tax preparation services at Liberty Tax, Middletown, CT.
