I have worked for Professional Tutors of America for the past two years teaching math and reading for students in Kindergarten through eighth grade. While working for Professional Tutors of America, I prepared educational worksheets based on the students' level and progression, informed parents and children about performance objectives and measurable indications of growth and developed learning plans, progression steps, recommendations and long range goals. The children each took a pretest and a post-test in which every student improved by at least one letter grade in just the few months I tutored them! I listen to the student to find out where they are at and what their interests are. I provide hands on experiences to teach the children such as using money and real life experiences to spark their interest and make the subject real to them. I involve the families to work together in forming a learning plan that is just right for their child. I really enjoy what I do and I put a lot of effort into planning, teaching, and implementing lessons that the children will be interested in and, therefore, retain the information easier. I am a mother of three school age children. I have worked with each one of them with their schooling. I love children and have a BA degree in Early Childhood Education. I have had Head Teacher Positions working with children for the past 12 years. I look forward to helping your child succeed!
