As a magazine editor, I had interviewed over a hundred business leaders and written about them. Now running my own consulting business, I've become even more familiar with the daily grind of making a profit. Plus, my MBA training at the University of Connecticut has given me an excellent perspective of business topics in general.
As a professional editor of magazines and newsletters, I have had years of experience working with programs such as Microsoft Publisher, Quark, and of course Word. Now, in my work as an Adjunct Professor, I spend quite a bit of time each week turning out education materials in the most elegant format and in the most efficient manner. I have had years of experience teaching advanced features of Word and can do likewise with Publisher.

My expertise includes topics such as connecting Windows and Mac systems, sharing printers and external backup drives, setting up wireless networks, and assuring security. I also have classroom experience teaching users how to solve and avoid the most common problems.
As a magazine editor, I performed dozens of well-received public speaking assignments. Once I even emcee'd an awards show in Las Vegas. I also have written a regular column on public speaking for a monthly magazine. As a part-time college professor, I do a type of public speaking almost on a daily basis. And, finally, I regularly teach students how to take advantage of PowerPoint -- an excellent public-speaking tool.
I have an MBA along with extensive experience in applying statistics to product quality analyses. I have tutored numerous students in statistics, and am particularly adept at using Excel to solve statistical problems.
Over the past 15 years, I have created a number of simple websites using programs such as Microsoft FrontPage and Adobe Dreamweaver and content-managements systems such as WordPress and Google Sites.
My goal in web design is to product a site that is as simple as possible to maintain and update. Often a stale site is worse than none at all. Currently my favorite technique is to use WordPress, and I love to get others to take advantage of this amazing system.
