"The most precious gift you can give someone is your time."
Whether you are a: parent who is concerned about your child, student who is struggling with a course, special needs student with ADD, Aspergers, Dyslexia, Autism, corporate executive that needs to learn a new language, someone who has to pass a course to keep your job, college, graduate or PhD student who needs help with your papers, ESL/TESOL student who needs to improve English speaking/writing skills , HS student who struggles with the SAT or ACT, medical student doing an internship and needs proof reading, GED or ASVAB candidate and needs to understand Math or an ELA test taker and need fine tuning, I can help, whether you need help ONE-ON-ONE or ONLINE.
With many years of experience, I like to give back to others. I remember when I was in 4th grade and I was having a very difficult time with my English class. Two teachers took me "under their wings" and tutored me on their off-time. I never forgot that. By the 6th grade I was the winner of the Spelling Bee, outperforming all the kids. As John Lubbock said, "The important thing is not so much that every child should be taught, as that every child should be given the wish to learn." My wish continues to be to learn, along with everyone that I teach!
I am currently teaching at the Graduate, High School and Elementary levels. I make learning fun! The subjects that I tutor are English, ESL (English as Second Language), Math, Science, Social Studies, Languages, writing, reading comprehension, SAT/ACT comprehension and writing, college essays, Elementary and Intermediate Math, Pre-Algebra, Algebra, GED, ASVAB, TOEFL, Science and all that interest me.
I have experience in preparing foreign language students for the TOEFL exam. I specialize in test taking strategies, and techniques.
In fact, on the SAT, several of my students increased their scores by 120+ points, with only 4-6 sessions of tutoring. That score means the difference between being accepted by New York University, Princeton or a State School.
I believe that I can make a difference for someone else, and that could be you! So if you would like to have fun while you learn, let me help you to be all that you can be. I also passed the background check with flying colors, so you can be sure that I am an honorable citizen.
Cancellation Policy:
I understand that things come up. However, I have many students that I am working with and need 24 hour advanced notice for a canceled lesson; otherwise, you will be charged my rate. Cancellations must be done via text, and or phone. DO NOT SEND AN EMAIL to cancel a lesson, because I may be working with students and do not have access to the internet. Text is the number one choice, voice mail is second.
