After ten years as a professional physicist and college professor, I am now working in the field of computer science. I am fully competent to help students with not only physics and math, but also many topics in computer science. In addition, I studied German intensively in Bonn and Berlin and speak it fluently.

I am a professional scientist and hold a PhD in physics. Currently, I am employed as a
senior software engineer in the Research Division of IBM. I have used the C++ language in my work for more than 15 years, and even contributed to the port of C++ to the DEC Vax/VMS operating system. I have written large projects in C++ including a simulation of the CESR particle accelerator at Cornell University and numerous projects for IBM.

I offer a comprehensive course of C++ including basic language, concepts of object orientation, development environments, the standard library and the standard template library

Computer Programming

I have been a professional scientist for more than 20 years. In this capacity, I have written hundreds of thousands of lines of computer code in many different languages. I was employed by the research division of IBM for 16 years as a senior software engineer. As an adjunct professor, I will be teaching the computer science department's UNIX class next semester at Western Connecticut State University.

Linear Algebra

I am a professional scientist holding a PhD in physics from Caltech. I have used linear algebra in my research work for many years. When I studied the subject in college at Yale, I was given university honors for my work.

I offer a comprehensive course in Linear Algebra including vector spaces and linear functions, linear and affine coordinate transformations, matrices, solutions of simultaneous equations, and linear programming.


I graduated from Yale summa cum laude with a BS in physics and I hold a PhD in physics from Caltech. I was employed for ten years in the physics department of Cornell University as a staff scientist at the Wilson synchrotron laboratory. For the last fourteen years I have worked as a scientist in the research division of IBM at the TJ Watson Research Center.
