I'm a certified teacher with degrees in Bilingual Education and Linguistics. My day job is teaching English as a Second Language (ESL) to elementary kids, but I have experience tutoring all levels, from kindergartners to adults. I'm also a techie!

I specialize in tutoring nearly any subject K-12 but where I especially shine is in my work with elementary-age kids. Struggling readers, kids whose math homework gives them nightmares, and kids who just need a slight boost or challenge will all find that some experienced extra attention was all they ever needed to reach their full potential.

Secondly, in the area of Spanish, I am fully fluent and have studied and volunteered extensively in both Mexico and Spain. Whether you want to simply learn the basics for your next visit to Latin America or want to rid yourself of your accent while perfecting your verb conjugation, I'm your tutor.

Finally, I'm a computer geek and thankfully I can translate from Geek to English too! Before I caught the teaching bug in college, I was awarded a scholarship from my university's Computer Sciences department, competed and placed highly in various computer science competitions, and received a perfect score on the highest level computer science Advanced Placement test available. More recently, I have taught classes ranging from robotics and video game creation to classes that cover general computing skills. Whether you want to learn about Windows, Mac, Office, basic video editing or even get started programming, I can help.

C

I have been a self-taught hobbyist programmer for over 15 years. I received a perfect 5/5 on the Computer Science AB Advanced Placement test in C++. I placed highly in various computer science competitions that utilized C++ in high school. I also co-taught my high school's most advanced computer science course which involved material that went beyond any of the Advanced Placement tests.

C++ and C are highly related languages and I have coded extensively in both.
