Algebra 1

I was a math major in college. Since, I have kept up with changes in the field. I have tutored/mentored students in Algebra for MS, HS, GED, and ASVAB.

ASVAB

During the past 1.5 years I have tutored multiple students for the ASVAB. My focus during these sessions were math & English. I also focus on developing GOOD study habits and relieving stress during test taking.

Elementary (K-6th)

I am a college graduate and have been involved with elementary school age students for several years. I worked as a substitute teacher along the I-70 Corridor for five (5) years working with young children. I also assisted them with their home work on all subjects. Additionally, I mentored a 3rd and 4th grader for two(2) years. I taught and instructed young students in a school sponsored "After School Garden Club" for six (6) weeks on three (3) separate occasions.

Elementary Math

I was a math major in college. I have mentored or tutored students in elementary, middle, and high schools along the I-70 corridor. Also, I have helped elementary students at a pre-school & daycare for the past several years.

English

I studied English in college and have done a variety of writing. This includes: newspaper articles, tutorials, stories, and news letters.

Grammar

I am a college graduate and have worked as a substitute teacher along the I-70 Corridor for the past five(5) years. I have also worked with elementary school students, mentoring them, and assisting with their studies and homework.

Prealgebra

I was a math major in college and I have kept up with the changes in mathematics. I have tutored ES, MS, and HS students in various math disciplines. This includes different number based systems, E.G., binary.

Reading

I have done quite a bit of writing! Not only in college, but in various other areas. These include: news letters, essays, editorials, and paper columns. I have also taught writing in public schools on all levels.

Approved Subjects

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet certified in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
